Jesus Kind of Love

Jesus Kind of Love

Today's Scripture:

John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

If you have ever been in love, you understand that it isn't always easy to love someone. Love is a choice. It takes patience, understanding, sacrifice, and commitment.

During this season of your life, the enemy might be trying to cause division, chaos, destruction, pain, and suffering, and it might be hard to love people.

In John 13:34-35, Jesus says, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." This is a direct command from our Lord and Savior. We all know that none of us is lovable all the time. So, how do we love the people who are unlovable at a particular moment?

In order to love like Jesus did, we have to first understand that His love for us is UNCONDITIONAL (AGAPE).

Jesus is perfect, and his love is perfect, sacrificial, and pure. We are not perfect; we have flaws. At some point in our lives, we all will disappoint someone, and will also get disappointed by people.

Jesus died for our sins; he paid the ultimate price. He gave us this Law of Love to help us in our days. It's not always going to be easy, but with His help, we can strive to be more like Him.

Prayer:

Lord, help us to love people as You love them. Lead us step by step into a greater understanding of what it means to love our neighbors as ourselves.
