Today's Scripture:
Exodus 14:13-14: Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today…The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
Have you ever tried a new food not expecting to like it, but ended up loving it? Sometimes when we wander off, it's like God is giving us a new opportunity to trust Him to redirect us. Sometimes God allows us to wander off so that we can realize that we are going off track. But that doesn't mean he won't hear us.
However, you might feel that we have been redirected onto a route that might be harder than before. This is where God is pruning you, molding you, and shaping you. He is making you qualified for whatever he has in store for you. An athlete doesn't enter a competition without training. The hurdles in your life are your training for whatever is next.
Sometimes we choose to stay stagnant because we are afraid of wandering off the familiar path. We fear that what's out there might be worse. Remember, if God is with you, nothing can stand against you" (Romans 8:31). He is in the details. Trust in Him and allow Him to bring out your best in His name.
No matter the nature of the journey, whether it be climbing up mountains or gliding through the air, or even if you can't see the finish line, the most important thing to do is to put God above everything.
