We always need to find ways to SOAP (Scripture, Observe, Apply, Pray) the word God has brought for us in order to see its transforming work in our lives. I will share a series of questions and thoughts on how we can process the word we received this past Sunday. This is our simple goal: to activate the work of Christ in our lives, to bear fruit for his kingdom, to edify (richly grow) the body.
Philippians 1:6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus return.
Additional Scripture: Genesis 18:10-14
What is the work God has begun in you? – The transforming work of Christ takes time. Over time we become more and more like Christ when we allow him to touch us. Identify your areas of growth and allow yourself to be a work of Christ. Praise God for the progress and open yourself up for more growth. He is not finished with you yet!
Ask yourself; How can I apply (practice) this so it can bring about God's transformation in my life? Remember, our safety is in Christ. He cares about each detail in your life, therefore let all your requests known to him. Spread every issue before him. Practice bringing a request (a bill, application, prescription etc) and spread it out before God. This teaches us faith and surrender.
Declare his promises over your life! When you declare his word, you come into agreement with what he already says about you!
NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GOD! No situation is too far gone or out of reach.
Pray for an openness to receive what God is doing in this season, ask him to teach you TRUST. Ask for Gods grace and receive it each day!
Remain in his love,
