Galatians 3:24 So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith.

Additional Scripture: Galatians 3:19, Matthew 22:35-40

Right now, let us thank God for His grace. For reaching out to us when we forget Him, and for making a way for us even when we walk away from Him. Sin separates us from God, but His grace through faith connects us back to Him! God gave his law (commandments) to show us our sin. The law also revealed God’s standard, which is above any man’s standard. It is not God’s desire for you to be burdened with your sin or the law, but an awareness of our sin leads us to Christ. Today, take the opportunity to learn from His commandments and understand that God is not about a list of rules but about relationship. God wants a relationship with you.

Being justified by faith is not about staying out of trouble or being a good person. Christ's gift of faith means that if we believe in Him, our sins are forgiven and we find new life in Him. Paul says, “It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). When you are in Christ, He becomes your light and your guide, He shows you how to live and His word keeps you focused on Him.

As we receive His grace, let us not take it for granted. Grace is not an excuse for us to keep sinning, it is an opportunity for us to be more like Christ! Remember keeping the rules doesn't remove the desire for you to sin, but choosing Jesus in every temptation uproots the desire to do evil. Ask the Lord for strength to choose Jesus today!

Choose Jesus,
