Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. —Mark 16:15

When I was a teen, I visited Harbour Island in the Bahamas. I loved everything about my stay, and when we visited the beach, I was blown away by the sand. It was pink! I never knew pink sand existed. I was so in awe that I filled a Ziploc bag with sand and brought it back home to Belize. When school reopened, I took my pink sand to show all my friends and tell them about the beach. I just couldn't keep it to myself.

My sand story makes me think about my spiritual encounter with Jesus. I was excited to tell everyone about it. Eventually, I was convinced I need to share the gospel with unsaved people. After all, the word gospel means ‘good news’. Who doesn’t like sharing good news? We're instructed by God to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15). Many people yearn to know about Jesus and receive salvation. Sharing our experiences can inspire people to grow closer to God.  Also, our testimonies can give hope to those who are broken and desperately need the Savior. We never know what sharing about Jesus can do for people, so we should be joyful to share the gospel and tell everyone about our personal encounters with Jesus.

We interact with people daily and share details about our lives. But if we never share about Jesus, we are doing our neighbors a huge injustice. Let’s be bold and excited to share the good news with everyone we meet.

Reflection: Who do you know that needs to hear about Jesus? How can you share the Gospel in a way they would understand?
